Training
Training plays an important role for everyone that uses our cleanrooms and labs. Lucky for you, getting trained on a tool is as easy as 1-2-3.
1. Attend Session
Sign up from the training sessions below or request a new time.
The trainer will demonstrate proper usage of the tool during the training session.
Sessions for each equipment are usually offered at least once a month and generally last about an hour.
2. Take Online Exam
If available, you will need to complete an online exam for the equipment.
Exams can only be taken in the staff office by the elevator on the Pettit Building CR level.
Exams for equipment become available only after attending a training session for the equipment.
3. Request Checkoff
After attending training, schedule a check-off from the Your Training section below.
During the check-off, you will meet one-on-one with the trainer and demonstrate working knowledge of the equipment.
The trainer will go through a list of requirements to make sure that you are able to properly operate the equipment.

Your Training
Sessions that you have signed up for. After attending a session, you can request a checkoff here. You will be notified when a trainer schedules your checkoff. You can only request a checkoff until after a trainer has marked you as attended.
Waitlisted
You will automatically be registered for the training session when a spot opens up.

Any times for training sessions that you have requested. Rest assured, our trainers will do their best to accomodate your schedule. You can also request a new time.
